About Kelby R. Fischer
Kelby is a fourth-generation Montanan with roots in the southwest and north central regions of the state. With both agriculture and small business in his family, Kelby understands the challenges to succeed in Montana’s unique business climate and the importance of protecting family legacy so the next generation can preserve what makes this place so special.
Kelby graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in 2015 and Montana State University in 2006 with a degree in English Literature. After college Kelby spent the better part of a decade skiing big peaks and racing his mountain bike throughout North America. While in law school Kelby quickly developed an interest in transactional and business law, and interned at the Montana Department of Revenue after his second year. Following graduation, Kelby worked at small firms in Bozeman and Helena where he continued to hone his legal skills and broaden his estate planning and business transactions knowledge.
Outside of work Kelby thoroughly enjoys all that Helena and the surrounding area have to offer, from nordic skiing in the winter to mountain biking the South Hills in summer to hunting birds and big game in the fall. Above all else, Kelby enjoys these activities with his wife, Marah, and yellow Labrador, Sunny.
